Mr. Hartzell is a graduate of the University Notre Dame, having received his Bachelor of Arts in English and his Juris Doctorate from the Notre Dame Law School.
Mr. Hartzell is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. Mr. Hartzell is designated to the Attorney for Children Panel in Monroe and Ontario County Family Court, Supreme Court and Surrogates Court by the Fourth Department, Appellate Division.
Mr. Hartzell is a member of the Monroe County and New York State Bar Association and Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. Mr. Hartzell was a recipient of a “Leaders in Law” award from The Daily Record in Rochester and previously received the "American Jurisprudence Award" for tort law and the “Notre Dame Club of Rochester Award of the Year.”
Mr. Hartzell is an experienced civil trial attorney and represents clients in contentious serious personal injury matters (auto, truck and motorcycle accidents, slip and fall) as well as matrimonial and family law cases. He also practices in the areas of wills and estates, residential and commercial real estate, and vehicle and traffic law.
